Resolution Sports Partners with Stainton SportsTwo Groups Align Services through Official Partnership Resolution Sports, LLC, officially announced that it has formed a partnership with Stainton Sports, LLC, a New Jersey based sports service business that specializes in athletic logistics. With the formal relationship, Resolution Sports will serve as the media and public relations branch for Stainton Sports, including all aspects of sports communication. “Speaking on behalf of Resolution Sports, we are very excited about our partnership with Stainton Sports,” President John Archibald stated. “I have had the pleasure of working with CEO Rick Stainton the past two seasons through our mutual partner, Sky Blue FC, and I am humbled that he would select our company as his communication arm. Stainton Sports was built on a concept that is unseen within the current sports landscape, and we look forward to helping their group build what will be a very successful business.” In addition to being a sports service business that encompasses all aspects of athletic logistics, Stainton has also opened its own indoor training facility that is located in Neptune, New Jersey. The concept of Stainton Sports was created by Stainton himself, who currently serves as an assistant coach for Sky Blue FC of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) and the Seton Hall University women’s soccer program, along with his wife, Amy, a former standout soccer player at Monmouth University and current assistant coach at Georgian Court University. "Our main focus was to think outside the box in terms of athletics," Stainton stated about the conceptualization of the company. "We could have just stuck with our instruction and training, both of which we are very strong, but we wanted to involve other good people and include other consultation. With this method, we are able to embrace all components within the world of athletics." While individual athletes are presented significant development opportunities through Stainton Sports, teams and organizations are also given the chance for major growth with the company. Two of the main specializations that are offered by Stainton Sports are instruction and training, which is provided for a variety of sports. Education and counseling are also offered as the organization focuses on building the complete student-athlete, with both nutrition and academic improvement being key components of this area. Parents are also involved in this aspect, with Stainton Sports providing information and background on the recruitment and development process. Sports marketing is another major focus of the company, with specialization being given in all areas of that department, ranging from branding and online strategy to media and public relations. Within this area is where Stainton Sports will look to Resolution Sports for guidance. “Since our creation, we have been developing our goal of being a sports logistics business,” Stainton remarked. “We look to touch upon all areas of athletics, including public relations and media related activities, and we feel that Resolution Sports is the leader in that area. Seeing the proven success that Resolution Sports has produced since its inception made this partnership a no-brainer. We now set our focus on building a bright future through the partnership of our two companies.” Located in building three at the industrial park at 1930 Heck Avenue in Neptune, the Stainton Sports indoor training facility is 10,000 square feet in size and fully covered with Astroturf flooring. The facility is currently available for hourly rentals and can be booked on the official Stainton Sports website at www.StaintonSports.com, where additional information about the company can also be found.
STAINTON SPORTS LAUNCES WITH NEW ATHLETICS CONCEPT
Sports Service Business Specializes in All Aspects of Athletic Logistics The sports landscape has a new and unique player on the scene, with New Jersey based company Stainton Sports officially announcing its launch. In addition to being a sports service business that encompasses all aspects of the logistics in athletics, the company has also opened its own indoor training facility that is located in Neptune, New Jersey. “The foundation of our company comes from a thought process to incorporate a philosophy where we engage and embrace everyone within the athletic community,” said Rick Stainton, President & Director of Operations. “The norm for a sports business is generally to focus solely on certain aspects of the industry, such as training or marketing. Our platform is to embrace a group of experts who specialize in particular areas of the industry and offer a full service firm that covers all aspects of athletics for its clients. This is how we developed the idea to create a sports service business that specializes in athletic logistics.” The concept of Stainton Sports was created by Stainton himself, who currently serves as an assistant coach for Sky Blue FC of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), along with his wife, Amy, a former standout soccer player at Monmouth University and current assistant coach at Georgian Court University. “Our main focus was to think outside the box in terms of athletics,” Stainton stated about the conceptualization of the company. “We could have just stuck with our instruction and training, both of which we are very strong, but we wanted to involve other good people and include other consultation. With this method, we are able to embrace all components within the world of athletics.” While individual athletes are presented significant development opportunities through Stainton Sports, sports teams and organizations are also given the chance for major growth with the company. Sports marketing is another major focus of the business, with specialization being given in all areas of that department, ranging from branding and online strategy to media and public relations. With the concepts of development fully underway, Stainton Sports is also pleased to announce the opening of its own indoor training facility. Located in building three at the industrial park at 1930 Heck Avenue in Neptune, New Jersey, it is 10,000 square feet in size and fully covered with Astroturf flooring. The facility is currently available for hourly rentals and can be booked on the official Stainton Sports website at www.StaintonSports.com. “The facility was something we really thought that we must have in order to help us grow as a company. Otherwise, we would have been based remotely,” Stainton continued. “People would not have had that sense of ‘home’ for us. With our own facility, we now have a place to provide all of our services. With our versatile Astroturf flooring and great size, we have the ability to play any type of sport. The space is also adequate enough for us to incorporate strength and conditioning equipment, which we will be doing in the very near future. We will also be doing improvements in terms of adding batting cages, giving us the proper facility for athletes who play baseball and softball.” In addition to athletic expansion, Stainton Sports will also be soon incorporating more of the academic components of its platform to the facility. “Our future plans involve adding educational kiosks where we will have academic instructors,” Stainton concluded. “Our whole goal is to grow the overall athlete. When I say that, I am referring to the student-athlete. We want our student-athletes to get into the college of their choice while remaining disciplined and understanding of the importance of both training and academics.” Many additional announcements are set to come from Stainton Sports as the company continues to develop and expand, and anyone interested in finding out more information about its business plan can visit the company online at www.StaintonSports.com or call 732-664-0386. Ohio Native Shined as a College Player at Texas A&M
Somerset, N.J. (Monday, January 24, 2010) – Sky Blue FC of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) solidified its goalkeeping situation today, announcing the addition of free agent netminder Kristin Arnold. The Ohio native will join a highly talented goalkeeping crew for the team, which currently possesses English National Team member Karen Bardsley and former U.S. National Team player Jenni Branam. “With only two picks in the WPS Draft, we were unable to use one of those selections on a goalkeeper. However, Kristin was definitely our top choice when it came to the position,” Sky Blue FC head coach Jim Gabarra stated of the Texas A&M senior. “Luckily, we managed to get through the draft with her still available. As soon as the draft ended, I spoke to Rick (Stainton, assistant coach) and said ‘let’s get her on the phone and offer her a contract.’ She was very grateful for the opportunity and will be a very good fit to fill out our goalkeeping corps.” Arnold was an immediate starter when she arrived at Texas A&M in 2006, starting 23 matches during her freshman season and leading the Big 12 with eight shutouts. Her stellar season led to a number of accolades which included a first team nod to the Soccer Buzz Freshmen All-America Team. She followed that year up with a standout sophomore campaign, posting a league best seven shutouts and receiving All-Big 12 First Team honors. Heading into her junior season, Arnold spent time in camp with both the U-20 and U-23 U.S. National Teams, and she also made her U-23 debut in a game against Northern Ireland. As the fall approached, the skillful goalkeeper was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, but her season would be cut short when she sustained a knee injury in an early match opposite North Carolina. Arnold then returned the following year after receiving a medical red shirt and recorded a league-high nine shutouts in 2009. She also backstopped the Aggies to a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA College Cup, posting a season-high seven saves in a razor thin loss against Florida State in double overtime. Texas A&M again reached the postseason this past fall, and Arnold turned in eight saves in her final college game, a second round pairing with Minnesota. “In this sport, we always talk about the four pillars of soccer, and Kristin fits the bill in each of them,” assistant coach Rick Stainton said. “Technically, she is very sound. Tactically, she is very aware. Psychologically, she is very focused. Physically, she may be listed at six-foot, but she plays like she is 6-5 or 6-6. She already has all the tools, and now we just have to implement her into our style and existing corps. Without question, Kristin will certainly be an asset for us.” Sky Blue FC General Manager Gioia DiFlumeri also confirmed the organization’s happiness with having Arnold on board. “Kristin is a welcome addition to our team,” she remarked. “We are in a great position in terms of our goalkeeping situation, and we will have a very competitive atmosphere at training as a result. That will only make all three goalkeepers raise their level of play, which will surely translate to team success on the field.” Somerset, N.J. (Thursday, December 23, 2010) – Sky Blue FC of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) announced today that it has signed forward Casey Nogueira, who was a first round selection in the 2010 WPS Draft. The former North Carolina standout brings additional goal scoring talents to the New Jersey club, tallying 10 points during her 2010 rookie campaign with the Chicago Red Stars.
“Casey is one of the best attacking players currently available,” Sky Blue FC head coach Jim Gabarra stated. “She can turn the game with a moment of brilliance, and we are fortunate to be able to add her to our roster. I look forward to seeing her on a daily basis rather than have to find a way to defend her as an opponent." Gabarra holds a special connection to the Nogueira family, playing professionally with her father, Victor, as a member of the San Diego Sockers in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) from 1989-1991 and the Milwaukee Wave of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) from 1992-93. The duo also won an MISL Championship together when they brought the league crown to San Diego in 1991. When she played college soccer at the University of North Carolina, Nogueira was a member of two NCAA College Cup Championship sides in 2006 and 2008. The 2008 season was her junior year of play, and the San Diego native led the Tar Heels by registering 21 goals. She also tallied a pair of scores in the NCAA Championship Game that year in a 2-1 win over the University of Notre Dame. Nogueira was then the eighth overall selection by the Los Angeles Sol in the 2010 WPS Draft before moving to the Chicago Red Stars when the Sol closed operations. She made her professional debut against Sky Blue FC in its 2010 season opener, eventually recording three goals and four assists during her time in the Windy City. Nogueira has also made an impression on the international scene, tallying her first of five total caps with the U.S. National Team in 2007. “We are very excited to add a young player who possesses the offensive prowess that Casey has,” Sky Blue FC General Manger Gioia DiFlumeri said. “Not only will she be able to make an immediate impression on our team, but she is a player who will excite our great fans for many years to come.” Somerset, N.J. (Wednesday, December 22, 2010) – Sky Blue FC of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) announced today the signing of two-time Swedish Player of the Year Therese Sjögran, who will join the team on loan from Damallsvenskan club LdB FC Malmö. The loan is part of an official affiliation agreement between Sky Blue FC and LdB FC Malmö that was formalized this week, and future terms of the partnership will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
"Therese Sjögran was one of the first players who I pursued the minute I accepted the Sky Blue FC head coaching position,” said Jim Gabarra, who took over the reins of the New Jersey club in October. “I believe that she will be one of the top midfielders in WPS. Her career achievements have been consistently exceptional, culminating in being named the Swedish Female Footballer of the Year." Sjögran, who has appeared in over 200 matches for the Swedish National Team, led LdB FC Malmö to its first Damallsvenskan Championship in 16 years this past season. For her efforts, she received Swedish Female Player of the Year accolades for the second time in her professional career. Her first selection of the acclaimed distinction came in 2007, following a standout season that saw her also secure Midfielder of the Year honors. Additionally, the international mainstay has represented her nation in three separate FIFA Women’s World Cups and Olympic Games. “I am extremely happy that LdB FC and Sky Blue FC have found this solution for me,” Sjögran commented. “This is something I have wanted for a long time, and LdB FC has supported me through the process. The decision fell on Sky Blue FC, thanks to Jim Gabarra’s interest in me as a player, as well as both organizations’ desire to cooperate. Now I get the opportunity to play professional soccer, World Cup, Damallsvenska game and Champions League all in one year. I look forward towards 2011 and the challenges that lay ahead.” The loan of Sjögran officially kicks off the affiliation agreement between Sky Blue FC and LdB FC Malmö, something that Gabarra was thrilled to see become a reality. “Sky Blue FC is elated to partner with LdB FC Malmö and create this pioneering affiliation agreement,” he stated. “This is, if not the first, surely one of the first affiliation agreements between an established international club and a WPS club. We look forward to developing and growing this relationship so that both clubs and women's football can continue to grow and achieve." Sky Blue FC General Manager Gioia DiFlumeri was equally as excited about the partnership between the two clubs. “As an organization, we are always looking for methods to strengthen our foundation,” she remarked. “Not only do we get an outstanding player with the addition of Therese Sjögran, but we have now established an affiliation with a world class club as well. I applaud the hard work of Jim Gabarra and the representatives from LdB FC Malmö, and I look forward to what the future holds for both of our organizations.” Speaking on behalf of LdB FC Malmö, General Manager Niclas Carlnen spoke about the strength of developing an affiliation with Sky Blue FC. “LdB FC constantly works towards developing the organization and club,” he said. “We look for new partnerships with organizations, both nationally and internationally. That we now with Sky Blue FC, one of the best and most stable organizations in WPS both on the field and economically off the field, can start a partnership on several levels is very interesting. Players and staff members will get the ability to experience new challenges through this partnership that will strengthen both organizations.” Sky Blue FC will have the #16 & #21 pick in the upcoming 2011 WPS Draft...Who should we pick?12/16/2010 Six Teams will have Four Rounds to Select the Best Talent out of College
